WHAT TO LOOK FOR:

To start with I’m not here to give you plenty of hype or even boast of myself. My purpose is to give some practical advice looking for senior graduation photographer , yes I would love to be your photographer; however, If you choose another and I helped you; all the better. Today we live in a world far different from the film days that required special skills. We are now  in the digital age ; everyone has a camera, and everyone wants to be a photographer. I came from the film day and spent many days in the dark room in college. What I learned then still applies today as far as I’m concerned. The most important skill is personality. If you have all the technical skills and can’t work with people, and people can’t work with you; what good are your skills? As for me I’m a bit of a goofball and  like having fun, and hope you too are in for a good time. I know how to mix business with pleasure and it’s all about the personality. So what else, being on time ? Yea , that is critical ; I will get to the shoot location thirty minutes ahead of time to allow me the time to scope out the landscape and map out what I want to do; some is in my head, some is on a notepad.  My job is to make you look your very best, this involves poses , lighting, and location. These here are what I would expect of all photographers, and last know your gear and have the right gear. 

WHAT TO WEAR:

Whether you are male or female when looking for senior graduation photographer; all have their favorite get up and that is what I want you to wear.  I’m not over concerned about the number of clothe changes; I know many make it clear that you only get two or three, As for me I'm easy and beside you are the one that has to do the work of changing while I sit and wait; so I not concerned as to how many changes you want to do. Just keep in mind that if we are off in nature a changing room isn’t often available. What else, when looking for senior graduation photographer; photographers usually want you to limit from wearing all bright white get ups. Anything neutral  such as off white, blue, some black even reds are fine. Last , as for time I only do two shoots a day; so you are not bound to a time limit as some will give you a two hour shoot. As for me I want you to feel relaxed and not rushed.

AFTER THE SHOOT:

All images are shot in RAW format, without the technical details it is much like film that contains all the info and needs to be edited using professional photo editing software. Once edited I convert the images to a jpeg for optimal viewing quality on your computer. These images are downloaded to a thumb-drive for your keeping; then downloaded to Dropbox for your viewing. The Dropbox images you will view and pick out which ones you would like printed. I will contact you in a week for a meeting and go over which images you would printed. I do all printing myself, I have a variety of high quality photo papers and sizes to choose from. Once printed the images are delivered to you in person, I prefer to hand deliver the images to you as It adds more meaning to the job. This is what sets me apart from others; as they shoot in jpeg, no editing and send the images off to Walmart for printing; then mail them to you. This again is a personal preference for you; do you want your images done any old way or do you want them done professionally?  These are things to consider when your looking for senior graduation photographer.     WHO AM I ? 

  I am someone who after trying many things in life settled on doing photography for a living.  In high school I had a passion for art and took up many drawing classes even tried sketching classes only to discover I had no talent. I also tried a few pottery classes; even though I enjoyed it, I had limited skills there as well. Eventually I gave up and graduated from school and worked in factories, highway work, even cleaned sewers; yeah that was a crappy job, for real. Few years down the road frustrated and going nowhere in life; I decided I would try college. The goal was to learn computers, six months in and I was not doing good and looking at another failure. Upon talking with the consolers and taking some test they suggested I take up something along photography. This was my ticket as I fell in love with it right from the start and I was actually good at photography. I also learned that all those art classes I once loved I could now do with the camera, as photography is a form of art. This was my begging and stepping forward many years I still love photography every bit as much, if not more so. Was it easy; not even close, many trials, failures , much learning, yet photography for me is not a job; it is a life style it is who I am. This is what drives me to excel and drive for excellence. In addition, photography is ever changing and therefore forces me to keep learning. I started in film days and today as you can imagine with the digital age; it is far different then film. Through it all I have my kept sense of humor and remain positive minded. 

   WHAT TO EXPECT:

 As a wedding photographer my goal is to serve you and meet your photographic needs. Each wedding is different as each person is different and have different needs. So, what to look for when wanting to find best wedding photographer ? Look for someone who can envision your wedding in a compelling pay, that is different then walking around like a news journalist. After I meet you and after a long talk I envision what your wedding could look like based upon what you want, the location, the time of day, the location as indoor or outdoor, and the number of people and the age groups. All of the above are important elements in making the wedding something special. This is where I take all elements into account and tell you what it is that I can do for you. My job is to make each wedding goer look their very best. Some of what I do is staged and some is spontaneous ; but together they make for a happy mix; much like baking a cake. After the wedding all the images need to be edited as I shoot in RAW format which is similar to film and requires special editing. Once edited I convert the images to jpeg for optimum viewing on the computer. You will receive the images in two ways; on thumb drive and dropbox. The dropbox images are for your viewing to decide which images you want printed. About tens days after the wedding I contact you for a meeting time to discuss what images you want printed. All prints are done by me; I have several sizes and high quality photo papers to choose from. Once printed I personally deliver the prints to you; total turn around time is about five days. Last as your photographer I like to remain in contact with you for future engagements, I am not one to up and dump you after payment is made. So this is who I am and what makes me tick.
